There's a lot of debate about whether this is a particularly hard time for computer professionals, but little hard data not generated by consulting firms or employers with which to track what's really happening. That's why the On The Bench Survey began collecting information from unemployed computer professionals on July 11, 2001. To view the data CLICK HERE. If you have already contributed data about your unemployed status here and have gotten a new job, tell us about it at the Update Page. You can use the new SEARCH to see data about the new jobs people who have reported here have found. Just use the pick list in the "Job Hunt Status" field and select "Employed in New Contract" or "Employed in New Job."
